Ad hoc solutions using the latest innovations in the field of technologies used to refine industrial processes.
Our story in automation
As for industrial automation, Blue Star Software has been collaborating with big international names offering innovative technological solutions that are always in step with the times for more than 15 years now.
Software engineering strategies are applied in the projects to allow Blue Star Software’s partners to offer cutting-edge and flexible products. Often it seems that implementing an industrial automation project means pushing technological limits to achieve the functionality required by customers, guaranteeing the desired result. Development strategies are applied to bridge the gap between the current system being used and the customer’s wishes, bringing real added value to their business.
The knowledge of Blue Star Software is used to respond to the growing need to integrate many distinct functions into a single application package that can be used by multiple devices (such as PCs, Tablets, Smartphones …). It also contributes to the design and development of prototypes based on the integration of PLM (Product Life Management) and MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software for every type of industry, combining sales functions with execution and control function
From groundbreaking innovations to customized solutions, each story highlights our commitment to excellence and our ability to achieve significant results for our clients.
Blue Star Software partnered with an important Italian aerospace company specialized in manufacturing single or two-seater aircraft, with approximately 3-4 models in its portfolio. The factory located near Bari faced limitations due to a lack of process automation hindering the production process.
In the industrial automation realm, Blue Star Software has consistently stood out as a pinnacle of technical excellence. We’ve collaborated with Siemens on significant projects such as Kaneka and Diana Pet Food, tackling the challenge of revitalizing the Siemens MES, the OP Center, by leading a full-stack team in the evolution of these realities.
In Finspång, a facility dedicated to producing massive aeronautical turbines that could exceed 2 meters on each side, operated using an outdated MES. The challenge of production was met through 3D printers utilizing iron powders to create both the turbines and their corresponding spare parts.
Blue Star Software has excelled in implementing software solutions for automation and management of storage facilities and warehouses in a setting characterized by the continuous flow of trucks transporting materials. These materials were unloaded and subsequently managed within the warehouse, starting from the acceptance process.
“Emissions” is an innovative software dedicated to managing ship registries. Thanks to its integration with onboard systems, it can acquire information about the journeys of each vessel registered in the system. This allows monitoring of travel times and consumption during different phases of the journey, considering variables such as weather conditions.
A major player in the shipping and intermediate warehouse management sector faced a significant challenge in optimizing its global operations. The company specializes in organizing shipments and logistics for the maritime industry. An example of their activities includes coordinating supplies for cruise ships when they dock at specific ports.
The L.Ship application, managed by Blue Star Software, serves as an internal management system specifically designed for searching ships along with their respective certifications and documentation. It’s a comprehensive tool involving administrators, RINA clients (Registro Italiano Navale), and external groups such as shipowners, establishing a hierarchical access structure.
The project, consisting of a proof of concept for the implementation of new features for an MES software, was developed for the industrial automation sector.
The project was developed for the chemical industry and specifically for the production of polyurethane systems which are used for various applications, from thermal and sound insulation (refrigerators, composite panels for industrial construction), to furniture (upholstery for sofas, chairs, sanitary items), cars (seats, steering wheels, armrests, interior doors, dashboards, air filters), footwear (work shoes, sports, casual), adhesives
