In Finspång, a facility dedicated to producing massive aeronautical turbines that could exceed 2 meters on each side, operated using an outdated MES. The challenge of production was met through 3D printers utilizing iron powders to create both the turbines and their corresponding spare parts.
Blue Star Software revolutionized this scenario by implementing a new and updated MES. Through an in-depth study of the printer systems, integration was achieved to automatically acquire and interpret data. This transformation allowed for the complete digitization of the process via a new MES (Manufacturing Execution System), fundamentally altering the operational approach.
This system not only ensured enhanced efficiency but also effectively managed non-conformities, simplifying integration with SAP and optimizing the overall workflow of the facility.
